As a Senior Process Engineer - Hydrogen you'll be a technical specialist leading the Spanish office in performing all aspects of conventional process design engineering and analysis related to hydrogen technology. The Process Engineers in our Gas Processing Group can also support projects for New Energy Solutions, including Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Fertilizers (Ammonia, Urea, etc.), LNG, Gasification, Fermentation, Sulphur Recovery, Gas Treatment, Syngas Processing, Biofuels, and NGL Recovery and Fractionation.This role will be based in our Madrid, Spain office with some travel throughout the EMEA region to our international offices, client sites and conferences.
We work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per in the office, 2 days from home.#JF-LI1 #LI-HybridKey Responsibilities
  • Lead process engineering evaluations for various hydrogen technologies (Electrolysers, Fuel Cells, SMR, etc)
  • Lead process engineering activities for hydrogen compression, storage evaluation, and transfer
  • Lead implementation of solutions through the project life cycle: feasibility, FEL stages, FEED, detailed design, EPC, and commissioning
  • Serves as a technical specialist and has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area
  • Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work
  • Typically oversees performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Process/Chemical Engineering or related engineering subject
  • Proficiency to C1/C2 level in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
  • Significant related work experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hydrogen facility design or hydrogen production operations.
  • Knowledge of PRO II, Promax, Protreat, HYSYS and similar process simulation packages
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards
  • Knowledge of hydrogen specific standards in industry

This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office 4 days and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Your Impact: Logistics Coordination: - Process, track, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and shipments (also picking and packing), including customs documentation when required - Maintain inventory records in our ERP and oversee stock management activities - Handle order processing and ensure timely and accurate documentation Office Administration: - Provide administrative support for office operations, including data entry, filing, and document management - Assist in planning and scheduling meetings and conferences - Manage office supply inventory and liaise with service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions - Process invoices and support accounts payable/receivable functions - Respond to general inquiries and route them to the appropriate team members - Draft routine correspondence, maintain accurate records, and create reports when necessary Other Duties: - Lead and manage a team of two employees, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and efficient execution of tasks - Coordinate with vendors and building maintenance providers to ensure efficient service - Organize departmental records, including confidential files, and maintain an efficient filing system - Prepare outgoing communications, presentations, and meeting minutes as needed About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring: - High school diploma or equivalent (additional coursework in logistics or business administration is a plus) - Experience in logistics, office administration, or similar roles preferred - Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Service-oriented mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
