This is a strategic opportunity to be part of the team that takes XM Cyber on the scale-up phase of growth and shapes the future success of the company.You will evangelize the XM Cyber solutions and value proposition at senior levels of G5000 companies up to and including CISO. This role involves working hand-in-hand with an experienced team of world class professionals who all believe in the vision and future success of XM Cyber.You will apply strong domain experience in the enterprise security space, coupled with a strong enterprise pre-sales methodology to underpin the success of your assigned region and fuel the growth of XM Cyber.This position will require travel throughout Japan.Responsibilities
  • Assist the regional sales director and select partners with preparations for customer and prospect meetings, presentations, scoping and competitive positioning
  • Provide technical account management, project management, and conduct hands-on product demonstrations and technical discussions with prospects, customers and partners
  • Lead and manage pilot and proof-of-value (POV) execution in complex environments aligned to defined client requirements. Post execution a report and stakeholder presentation would be delivered outlining the findings, successful use cases. value proof, client value proposition and next steps
  • Represent XM Cyber as a key technical spokesperson and figurehead evangelising to the market and partner community engaging in regular speaking events and participating in roundtables with CISO and senior security management personas
  • Develop and evolve solution propositions that fit the needs of large enterprises to build custom propositions that resonate with the clients you are working with.
  • Introduce and present XM Cyber capabilities, use cases, and technology via presentations, white board sessions, and product demonstrations
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding the customers business need, operational pain points and technology ecosystem
  • Work with the regional sales director to articulate value propositions, differentiation, and solution architecture
  • Work closely with existing customers to help them maximize value from the investments and look for additional use cases to increase value and environment coverage
  • Work closely with marketing and R&D teams to bring to life new impactful use cases in the form of value propositions and product capability
  • 5-10+ years’ experience working as a pre-sales engineer within the cyber security domain aligned with G5000 and major government organizations
  • Experience in security operations center processes and solutions
  • Experience in vulnerability management processes and solutions
  • Knowledge of advanced security operations architecture
  • An understanding of red teaming, penetration testing tools/techniques and threat hunting
  • Exceptional presentation skills (oral and written) for communication of complex solutions, business benefits, technology integration, product differentiators, competitive benefits, and an architecture that aligns to the client’s ecosystem
  • Ability to understand a technology in detail to then flexibly use the knowledge to bring to life impactful tailored demos and presentations
  • Knowledge of some of the following technology domains: EDR, SIEM, SOAR, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning, ITSM, CMDB, Firewalls and PAM.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture and controls within AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Broad knowledge of the security controls an organization can deploy to mitigate risk
  • A passion for ongoing industry education including recent breaches and techniques used to exploit clients
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, OODA and Cyber Kill Chain.
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to travel regularly within this region, as needed
  • Experience in risk assessment, risk management and risk consulting
  • Experience in security incident & event management
  • Comfort working within a channel environment with major system integrators, MSSP’s and VAR’s
  • Knowledge of information security standards (ISO 17799 & 27001, NIST, COBIT, PCI, etc.)
  • CISSP/TOGAF or other relevant certifications are desirable

The CoE brings together researchers from the University of Edinburgh and University College London to develop a deeper understanding of the fundamental biology of glioma and harness this knowledge to drive new translational approaches to improve patient outcomes.The post-holder will be based at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, University of Edinburgh or affiliated research centres within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. The mission of the Institute of Genetics and Cancer is to understand development and disease by using the latest approaches in genetic, genomic, cellular and clinical science. The postholder would benefit from world class facilities, and the combined resources and multidisciplinary skills, scientific expertise, technology and support services needed to maximise scientific discovery and provide an outstanding training environment.We are seeking transition fellows with a strong publication track record to develop an independent programme of research, relevant to the themes of the CoE. Fellows will be expected to apply for independent research funding supported by existing research programmes on brain tumours. They will receive a generous consumables budget and priority access to CoE infrastructure, including preclinical models, and will be supported by a variety of mentoring schemes.The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in a relevant subject area (e.g. biology, neuroscience, biomedicine, cancer biology) and have successfully carried out a period of postdoctoral training. They should also have a proven publication record. Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills are essential.Applicants must have experience in presenting complex scientific concepts and content both in writing and verbally. They will show a strong commitment to improving outcomes for glioma patients and demonstrate excellent collaborative interpersonal skills with an ability to work co-operatively in a multidisciplinary setting.The post-holder will be expected to have the ability to assist other members of the CoE, supervise MSc and PhD students, as well as collaborate with external research groups.This post is fixed term (36 months) and full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns.The salary for this post is UE08 £49,250 to £60,321 per annum.Your skills and attributes for success:
  • A PhD and relevant postdoctoral experience, with demonstrated success in delivering research results relevant to the subject specialism (or near completion)
  • Experience and achievement in the specialist area, reflected in a growing personal research portfolio
  • Extensive experience of developing and applying theory, models, techniques and analytical methods as appropriate to the field
  • Good understanding of the potential non-academic impacts of the research and ways of engaging in order to achieve these.

Job description: About usWe are one of the world’s leading research centres for the study of prions and their wider relevance to neurodegenerative disease with a growing research activity in Alzheimer’s disease (www.prion.ucl.ac.uk).The Institute is highly multidisciplinary with close integration of structural and molecular biology, genetics, cellular and animal models, small molecule and immuno-therapeutics and clinical research.MRC and UCL have jointly invested £30 million in provision of a dedicated building in central London for the Institute supporting the vision to expand research in protein misfolding and aggregation in neurodegenerative disease.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join our team.Following an initial training period you will undertake research to investigate the structures of infectious prion strains using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The existence of prion strains constitutes protein-based inheritance and the structural basis of this is of wide biological and evolutionary interest. In addition understanding how certain assemblies of misfolded proteins can act like pathogens spreading throughout the brain is a major research focus in neurodegeneration. AFM work will be conducted using dedicated microscopes at the Prion Unit.Ad hoc overnight visits to collaborating laboratories within the UK may be occasionally required.An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this roleThis is a fixed-term role until 31st March 2028 in the first instance.Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B.This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.’About youA background in AFM and protein structural biology is essential.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to communicate research findings in peer reviewed journals and scientific presentations.Experience of working in microbiological containment level 3 facilities would be an advantage.The post-holder will work closely with existing staff at UCL and Birkbeck College but must have the ability to work independently.Additional Information:
