  • Represent the National Centre of Excellence – Tech and Med Mal servicing clients and supporting account teams from coast to coast;
  • Continual development of expertise in the tech, cyber, and med mal space through networking, technical training and client discussions;
  • Develop tools and materials to support clients and account teams;
  • Analyze client specific risk exposure and generate coverage requirements for marketing exercises;
  • Prepare and present marketing proposals for renewals and new business;
  • Negotiate with underwriters to establish best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage;
  • Follow up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are met;
  • Approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals;
  • Establish contacts and cultivate relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clients;
  • Collaborate with Account Executive to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business;
  • Provide guidance, training and mentoring to assist in the development of young brokers within the department;
  • Participate in client meetings where applicable;
  • Receive general instructions and follow defined procedures, manage daily work within established guidelines;
  • Build productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations;
  • Responsible for compliance documentation and policy review checklists;
  • Leading by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice; and
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Insurance experience required; five years minimum
  • Strong technical insurance background with ability to grasp and explain complex risk and insurance principles;
  • Experience with cyber, technology, and/or medical malpractice insurance products is an asset but not a requirement;
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills’
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
Education:
  • Broker license preferred but not required (candidate will have to obtain a broker license within the province they reside in as a condition of employment);
  • Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB), Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), and/or Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations are an asset, but not required

The Global Nuclear Compliance Associate will support the development of efficient and leverageable nuclear trade compliance procedures across the globe.   • Develop and monitor corporate nuclear trade compliance programs for a multinational organization to optimize efficiency and leverageability, and work with senior management to roll them out.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business owners (operations, logistics, sales and customer support, quality, engineering, IT, HR, and legal) to ensure alignment between nuclear compliance procedures and business objectives.
  • Assist with day-to-day import and export functions and nuclear logistics, including working with local, state/provincial, and country nuclear regulatory authorities to gain and maintain necessary product licensing to ensure import and export compliance of nuclear material.
  • Manage compliance-related projects, such as internal investigations, government inquiries, and departmental audits.
  • Evaluate and implement nuclear compliance/logistics globally.
  • Implement digital tools as required to streamline workflows related to compliance topics.
  • Develop nuclear compliance-related awareness training and present this material to senior and executive-level management.
  • Manage and support periodic, risk-based transaction testing/audits to assess the effectiveness of import/export compliance procedures.
  • Oversee strategic-level supplier management responsibilities for global nuclear distributors, participating in periodic business reviews focusing on key SLAs and KPIs while driving the direction of the business.
Required qualifications:
  • A minimum of a 4-year degree in engineering, science, or areas of nuclear regulatory compliance or international logistics.
