About the Casual Eligibility List
The Casual Eligibility List is open for eligible candidates to register an Expression of Interest (EoI) for casual employment with Western Sydney University, The College. The eligibility list enables The College to access suitable and experienced individuals for casual employment opportunities across a broad range of business areas at short notice, subject to the following:
- You will be engaged as and when required, and on an ad hoc and/or intermittent basis. The College does not guarantee the provision of ongoing or regular employment, and makes no firm advance commitment to continuing or indefinite work.
- Your application is not a guarantee that an offer of casual employment will be made.
- You will only be contacted regarding your application if an opportunity arises that matches your skills and experience.
- Applications remain active for 12 months

The College is seeking highly motivated, adaptable individuals with a wide range of expertise and transferable skill sets to work collaboratively to deliver quality tutorials, workshops, practicals, and lectures in classroom, facilitate on-line learning, undertake assessment moderation and marking, participate in curriculum development and provide academic support for the students and the teaching team to which they are assigned.Applicants must be able to demonstrate the capacity to teach in the Science Program in particular biological sciences, chemistry and human anatomy and physiology subjects. Practical experience in these areas would be advantageous. .Subjects delivered through these programs may include those offered in a 12-week academic term as well as those following a four-week block delivery model. To be eligible for casual employment, applicants must meet the below criteria:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Recent and relevant teaching experience within the discipline area, demonstrating quality and innovative teaching practices with the ability to facilitate learning in small and large groups.
- Experience teaching students from diverse linguistic, ethnic, and academic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor to various stakeholders throughout The College.
- It is a mandatory requirement for all College employees to have a current NSW employee Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) in accordance with the NSW Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
