Job description: NYSE-listed AgEagle Aerial Systems is seeking a talented, experienced (3-5 years) and motivated experienced GNC Engineer to join the guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) Team at our senseFly location in Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland. The GNC Team is responsible for defining GNC system specifications, designing autopilot architecture, and developing algorithms.Guidance Navigation & Control
- Define GNC systems specifications closely with the Head of Technology.
- Propose autopilot architecture in line with standards and specifications.
- Design and validation of Navigation and sensor fusion algorithms (Kalman filters)
- Sensor (IMU/GNSS/Barometer/distance) specification, integration and calibration
- Modelling the behavior of our products with identification technics
- Embedded implementation
- Field testing and debugging
- Path planning and guidance
- Control laws
- Estimation algorithms
- Ensure specifications, presentations, and reports supporting the above activities are adequate for internal and external support.
- Provide a strong interface with other teams and facilitate efficient and effective cross discipline working.
- Encourage and enable the team for delivery of work products considering cost, quality and deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement of relevant systems and procedures.
- who will focus on defining GNC systems specifications ad autopilot architecture, as well as algorithms and prototype development for our systems. The ideal candidate will possess a wide variety of engineering skills, people skills, and should be proficient in all aspects of GNC.
Requirements bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, robotics, aerospace or related engineering degree
- Strong knowledge in applied mathematics, with the ability to develop algorithms for guidance, navigation, and control.
- Industry or postgraduate experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Sensor fusion algorithms
- Kalman filtering
- Flight planning
- Control law design
- Experience with sensor characterization and integration is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded systems development is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with drone design is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for efficient collaboration and code management is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Proficient in written and spoken French with business-level English.
