Job description: This position will provide administrative and customer service support to the Park Services team. This includes supporting the operational functions of the branch in periods of high demand. The team is part of the Environment, Heritage and Parks Directorate, which is responsible for ensuring environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, sustainability, risk management and visitor safety within the Rottnest Island Reserve. In this role, you will demonstrate to help drive positive change.Selection CriteriaApplicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than two (2) pages in total. * Highly developed oral and written communication, interpersonal, organisational and team participation skills.
- Experience in office procedures, records management and administrative functions.
- Well-developed computer skills in the suite of Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives.
The following essential criteria will be assessed at some stage during the selection process. Desirable criteria will be assessed as required: * Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.
- Knowledge of and experience in financial management systems.
Flexibility Requirement
- Must be capable and willing to commute to and from the Island on a daily basis and reside overnight on the island as rostered / required.
- May be rostered to work on any day, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays, and on any shift during these days.
